Artists create problems just so they can solve them.
And in solving there is always growth; usually frustration, and hopefully and authentic artistic result which, for our purposes, we call a concert.
In this concert, we enjoy the process of making music, exploring the sonic possibilities at the intersection of wonderful music and reverberant acoustics.
With Explore the Sound, experience the “quintessential North Central College musical event.” The concert features choral and instrumental ensembles performing music from virtually every nook and cranny of the acoustically perfect Wentz Concert Hall. Theatrically lit and seamlessly performed, this performance needs to be heard to be believed.
The North Central College Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, Cardinal Chorus, and Chamber Singers bring you music with no special theme (though there are “threads” you might follow)–pieces of various styles and, at times, unusual pairings of instruments and voices. Music they just want to experience and try out in as many places in the stunning Wentz Concert Hall as they could.
