In addition to individual interviews, NCTV17 hosted live candidate forums at the station, moderated by local business owner and Naperville Planning & Zoning Commission member Mark Wright. For the City Council forum, he was joined by former Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Nicki Anderson. These forums provided residents with the opportunity to hear directly from local candidates on key community issues and the challenges they’ll face if elected. On Tuesday, April 1st at 8 PM, NCTV17 invited residents to tune in for Naperville Decision 2025. This LIVE election night coverage was hosted by Liz Spencer and Dr. Suzanne Chod of North Central College. The two-hour broadcast delivered expert insights on key issues, voting trends, and the impact of local government on the community.
Featured guests included former Mayor Steve Chirico and community leader Mark Wright discussing the City Council race, retiring D203 School Board member Donna Wandke sharing her perspective on the Naperville 203 school board race, and former D204 School Board member Natasha Grover providing insights into Indian Prairie School District 204. Wrapping up the night, former Park District Board Commissioner Mike Reilly shared his thoughts on the Naperville Park District Board race.
Throughout the night, Senior News Producer Kim Pirc and Senior News Reporter Jesus Cortez kept viewers informed with real-time updates as votes were counted across DuPage and Will counties. Unofficial results were published at the conclusion of the evening.
