Ribfest Traffic Plan
Ribfest is right around the corner, so it’s important to know how traffic will be affected by the annual festival. The city released a Ribfest traffic plan map detailing all of the road closures for the event, along with the times that the closures apply. The map also shuttle and taxi waiting areas. More information on accessibility at the event, fireworks, and other services is available on the city’s website.
Puppy Mill Talk
DuPage County Animal Services and the Humane Society of the United States are hosting a Puppy Mill Workshop this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DuPage County Administrative Building Auditorium. The event will cover relevant state and local laws concerning puppy mills and commercial breeders, common myths about mills, and how to get involved in the issue. Registration is sold out for the event, but you can still join the waiting list on Facebook.
Air National Guard Band Concert
The Air National Guard Band of the Midwest will perform a free concert at the Millennium Carillon on Monday at 7 p.m. The Naperville Park District will host the concert as a fun, and patriotic way to start the week of Independence Day. The band will play a mix of patriotic, concert, jazz, and rock music. The event is open to all – just bring chairs or blankets for seating on Rotary Hill.
