Tails were wagging and mouths were panting when Springbrook Animal Care Center partnered with the Naperville Running Company for a Dog Fun Run.
From big to small, pups of all sizes and breeds came out for some exercise and goodies courtesy of Two Bostons.
The one to two mile walk/run raised money for Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue.
“We’ve been a long-term partner with them over the past couple of years,” said Springbrook Animal Care Center’s Aly Gentile. “They work really hard to place deserving dogs into great homes. They’ve got a great rescue mission and they really do a lot to help pets within our community.”
Wags 2 Wishes is an all-breed animal shelter in Plainfield that rescues animals facing euthanasia.
Some of the participants were quick to get running on the path, and some were more willing to take their time.
But all the dogs could agree, the treats were the best part of the day.
