A donation from Northwestern Medicine is bringing new mobile vital sign monitors to the DuPage Care Center.
The Northwestern Memorial Foundation recently presented a check for $14,000 to the care center to fund the purchase of mobile vital sign monitors – something the care center currently does not have.
The grant was given after the care center made a request for the funds from the foundation.
Chris Hensley, the foundation’s vice president of philanthropy, said the two organizations partner in many other ways, so the donation was a good fit.
“This is a valuable and important partnership because we share many patients and these patients are among the most vulnerable patients in our community. And so we said this makes perfect sense for what we should be doing as a member of the community,” Hensley said.
