2018 marks the fifth year that DuPage Credit Union’s got the backs of students in need.
The credit union hopes to raise over $10,000 this year to buy school supplies those who could use a little extra help.
The supplies are used to fill backpacks, which are given away at the Catholic Charities’ DuPage County Back to School Fair on August 1.
“To see the event and to see all the kids come through how it’s important to them to get a little backpack that we might take for granted, it’s a great feeling,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions with DuPage Credit Union. “There are a lot of people in need and being able to help as many as we can is great.”
You can donate to the cause either on the DuPage Credit Union’s website or in one of their locations, where a dollar donation gets you the sweet treat of a candy bar.
There’s more information about the fair on the Catholic Charities of Joliet’s Website.
