District 203 held their first Focus 203 Community Engagement Session of the school year.
Superintendent Dan Bridges presented the “State of the District” address to 203 parents, residents, and administrators.
“It’s time for us to really think about what’s next for our school district, update our strategic plan, and begin working toward making our exemplary school district even better,” said Bridges. “So this is an opportunity for us to hear from our community what’s important to them.”
Bridges gave updates on how 203 compares to similar districts and noted accomplishments in online learning and social-emotional learning: a topic attendees were interested in learning more about during the breakout session.
“How will the social-emotional needs be addressed but more importantly how are they measured? How many interventions have we had that were successful? How many other results can be quantified,” questioned 203 resident Pat Harrison.
The next Focus 203 session will be held on November 14 and 15.
