Neuqua Valley High School’s juniors took on the seniors in episode eight of NCTV17’s “Game On! – Clash of the Classes” hosted by 95.9 The River’s Danielle Tufano.
New for this episode was a live band of Neuqua students, The Doots, and larger teams of eight players, with four members from each team playing half the show. That got more students in on the action.
Team juniors was made up of Keilah, Joey, Grace, Quinton, Ankit, Asia, Luke, and Taylor.
Team seniors was made up of Aidan, Matthew, Megan, Avery, Jordan, Jaylen, Christine, and Brianne.
Being students – some enjoyed learning about what it takes to put on a TV game show.
“It was a really big production I didn’t realize how much went into it, especially the tech side,” said senior Brianne Pirkins. “We were doing mic checks, light checks, it was a really big production. “
“It was amazing, it was a great experience, it was a little nerve-wracking at first,” said junior Quinton Lewandowski. “Overall it was a great experience and I’m happy I was chosen amongst all the people at Neuqua. And I hope I can come see more in the future.”
The games and class rivalry brought out that competitive spirit.
“It was really fun, I’m really competitive so it was super fun playing against the seniors. It was a good time,” said junior Luke Selby.
The whole thing even had one senior thinking about his next steps in television.
“Ellen’s not a game show, but I hope this is my big debut and I’ll make it onto Ellen or something,” said senior Aidan Murphy.
Game On! is a fundraiser that supports NCTV17, and if you couldn’t make the live show, you can tune in to channel 17 or nctv17.org to find out who won during the premiere at 7 p.m. on December 11.
