Downtown Naperville’s new Christmas tree has been assembled.
The lights are now shining on Naperville’s new Christmas tree, located where the Dandelion Fountain runs during the warmer months.
It’s the city’s first artificial tree, picked over a live tree as a cost-saving measure by the Naperville Park District.
Even though it’s fake, you can expect it to grow another four feet from this year to the next as the park district is planning to buy a four-foot extension.
The artificial tree is expected to last about eight years before they need to branch out to a new model.
