More Ogden Avenue Road Resurfacing

The Illinois Department of Transportation has resumed work on resurfacing Ogden Avenue.

Work along Ogden west of Columbia to Raymond Drive will start up again, with milling and patching work anticipated to begin the last week of March.

The IDOT-led project aims to resurface Ogden Avenue from Naperville to where it meets Interstate 355 in Lisle.

“Hopefully the weather will cooperate, and they’ll be able to get it done sooner rather than later. But it’s going to take a couple months,” said Linda LaCloche, the communications manager for the City of Naperville.

Curb and sidewalk work along the entire construction area was largely complete in the summer of 2017.

And with spring quickly approaching there are some other construction projects to be aware of.

“The county is going to be starting work in resurfacing 75th Street,” added LaCloche. “They’re going to go from Olympus to Route 59 to resurface sometime later this year. And then the project at 95th and Plainfield/Naperville Road is going to start up again. So they’re going to finish out that project. That one too had to stop because of winter, and so they’ll be back out there doing work again.”

You can keep up to date on construction throughout Naperville on the city’s website.
