Residents at St. Patrick’s Residence gathered in the garden for a dove release to honor National Nursing Home Week.
The first dove was released by a long-time resident whose mother also resided at the nursing home and died just recently this year.
20 more white doves were released to honor the staff, residents, families and volunteers that are at St. Patrick’s.
“We couldn’t do our job without our staff and we appreciate all that they do everyday,” said Sister Kathleen McLinden.
This year the theme of National Nursing Home Week was the Spirit of America.
