As good weather wrapped up the weekend, so did Naperville’s very own Oktoberfest.

For the ninth year in a row, Naper Settlement hosted the traditional Bavarian festival, which dates back to 1810 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

Hundreds celebrated with brats, beer, and Bavarian music.

“Never been here but it’s a beautiful Sunday, the Bears are not playing, so we came down here to have a couple of beers and enjoy this atmosphere and the Settlement and it’s been terrific,” said Oktoberfest goer, Paul O’Toole.

“Perfect Oktoberfest thing to do- get our beer, get our pretzel and enjoy the day,” said Oktoberfest goer, Joanne O’Toole

And many honored their roots by wearing traditional outfits to add to the fun.

All proceeds of Oktoberfest go to Naperville Heritage Society.
