There’s a new president of the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners.
Rich Janor was unanimously voted by his fellow commissioners to serve as the board’s president.
Janor said he’s most looking forward to the public-facing responsibilities of the position.
“Engaging residents is my favorite part of the office of park commissioner and I look forward to doing even more of that in the upcoming board year,” said Janor.
This will be Janor’s third term as president of the Board of Commissioners since first being elected as a commissioner in 2011.
“I think we’ve got a great board, we function well together overall. [I’m] going to be focused on making sure we get projects done on time and under budget, which has been our mantra here and I’m looking forward to a great board year,” said Janor.
Mike Reilly will step down as president and return to the role of commissioner. Mike King will serve as the new vice president.
