This season your little pocket change can make a big difference for those in need.
The Naperville Park District is once again collecting donations for its Pennies for Pies program.
It’s an annual benefit for Loaves & Fishes, to help the nonprofit provide pies to families in need during the holidays.
“It’s a great, feel-good initiative with the park district. I know our employees as well as our patrons; they enjoy being part of this. It is a small way to give back during the holidays but it certainly goes a long way with the families that receive the pies,” said Brad Wilson, the director of park district recreation and facilities.
Collection jars are located at five park district facilities, including the Fort Hill Activity Center, Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, and the park district administration building.
The Pennies for Pies collection jars are out now through November 16.
