Naperville Park District staff brought a magical place to life in just one day.
It started as a pile of wood, but just a few hours later, it was a house fit for Saint Nick.
The park district turned the riverwalk’s Free Speech Pavilion into its annual Santa House and will soon have it ready for visitors.
“Santa House is a really fun activity for the kids of Naperville and our patrons and it’s a great place to go get their photo taken, meet Santa, the man himself,” said Stacey Fontechia, sales and sponsorship manager for the park district. “We’ve been doing it for 17 years, we absolutely love it and it’s just something we continue to do year after year for our patrons.”
Guests this year will experience some new features to the house, including nightly sponsorships and themed performances.
“Aside from our sponsors, we have lots of fun things planned for Santa House,” said Fontechia. “The Young Naperville Singers will be coming out to do Christmas Carols this year. So we’re really looking forward to them coming out and entertain our patrons as well.”
Santa House opens almost every afternoon starting November 30 and closes on December 23.
