An adventure trampoline park is coming to Naperville.

At the latest Naperville Liquor Commission meeting, Urban Air Adventure Park requested an expansion on the cap for the Class M Recreational Liquor License.

The park plans to lease out 1955 Glacier Park Avenue in Naperville, formerly a Babies “R” Us.

The 73,000 square foot building will be converted into an indoor adventure park featuring electric go-karts, trampolines, and high ropes courses.

“Businesses opening up in what has been traditionally retail, that’s the new way it works and this is one of many that we’ve seen open up in the last year or two years,” said Mayor Steve Chirico.

The liquor license will allow the facility to offer beer and wine in its café area. The presenter noted that attendees who purchase alcohol at the park wouldn’t be allowed to use attractions afterward.

The Urban Air Adventure Park franchisor hopes to open up the space as early as February 2019.

Also at the meeting – the commission expanded its late night permits outside of Downtown Naperville.

One of those went to Whirlyball, which will come to northwest Naperville on Odyssey Avenue.

The other permit went to Bombay Chopsticks, an Indian restaurant and bar soon to set up shop alongside Patel Brothers on West Ogden Avenue.

Both permits will need final approval at an upcoming Naperville City Council meeting.
