Wednesday Walking Club

Naper Settlement’s pathways are now open for one hour every Wednesday morning for the walking club.

Walkers can stroll through the 12-acre grounds and start the day off with a bit of stress relief.

“The idea is you get a little bit of exercise and it kind of forces you to get up and get going and get out on a nice day,” said Linda Dumdie, a member of the Wednesday Walking Club. “It’s a little chilly today which I don’t think there’s too many people coming out for yet.”

But those who make it out to walk on Wednesdays get an added bonus. By logging the minutes they’ve walked, walkers earn tickets to Naper Settlement events – Every 240 minutes gets them a ticket.

The Wednesday Walking Club is free and open to the public every Wednesday from 8 to 9 a.m. now through October 31st.
