Metea Valley, still in search of their first conference win of the year hosts Naperville North who haven’t lost in conference yet.
First Half
Early in the first half, Huskie Hannah Martin unleashes a shot from 20 yards out but Metea Goal Keeper Nikki Coryell wrangles it to keep the scoreboard empty.
Little later in the first half. Metea’s Sydney Rohm finds herself open after the give and go but she’s taken down from behind allowing a penalty kick.
So Rohm gets the open looks, goes left and finds twine for Metea to go up 1-0.
North looking to respond with a corner and they get close but Mustang Morgan McCrary gets her foot there just in time to save the goal and keep her team on top.
Second Half
Late in the second half and the Huskies are still looking for the equalizer off a corner… it finds a shoulder, a knee, and then the head of Katie Murphy but it is just a little too high so the Mustangs hang for the victory 1-0.
