Neuqua Valley Boys Swimming hosting the Sectional Meet in their pool with Waubonsie, Naperville Central, and Naperville North all in attendance on 2/16/19.
First race off the blocks: the 200 freestyle. Two neuqua Valley swimmers at the top of the screen are neck and neck in lanes 3 and 4. Connor Boyle and Jack Hiss battling it out but in the end, Boyle will tap first in 1:41.73 seconds, Jack Hiss finishes in second with WV’s Lucas Conrads in third.
Fastest sectional race in the 50 free. First and only turn has Waubonsie’s Brian Doughtery and Plainfields Marc Avery battling it out… Avery finishes in 21.07 seconds with Doughtery right behind in 21.31 seconds. Nothing but smiles.
From the shortest to the longest, 500 free and just look at that lead that Waubonsie’s Lucas Conrads has created… he hangs on to it, taking first in 4:37.40 seconds and man is he PUMPED UP!
We start in the water for the 100 back. At the final turn, North’s Grant Bochenski has the lead and hols on to it down the stretch… he’s going to state, finishing in 51.21 seconds.
Lets wrap this thing up with the 400 free relay. Waubonsie off to a nice lead as they have their final swimmer diving in but watch out for those wildcats.. Connor Boyle as the anchor swims an amazing last leg to will the wildcats to the 400 relay win and the team sectional win.
