We jump in to conference soccer action with two valley schools. Neuqua Valley, on the road for their third straight game enter Metea Valley Mustangs territory as they celebrate senior night.
First Half
Right off the top we get action in the box for Metea Valley. The mustangs on the move with multiple shots going towards the net but between the Neuqua defense and the net minder, Luke Molnar, all shots are blocked keeping the board empty.
Neuqua’s offense now looking to find twice but Metea’s Ghandi Cruz punches it over the cross bar to keep everything even in the first half.
Neuqua gets another chance, this time with a free kick. They get tricky but it doesn’t fool Cruz as he makes another stop for Metea Valley.
Second Half
Into the second half, nothing on the board still. That is until Neuqua’s Tyler Madsen gets the feed in stride and sends one soaring in to the back of the net to put Neuqua up 1-nil.
Metea looks to even it up with Matthew Dovalovsky using his head but it goes over the bar and the mustangs still trail 1-0.
Metea with the penalty kick now in the second half. Alexander Krehl watches the ball go past everyone else then gets the header to go as he evens up the game in the second half, 1-1 tie.
Game tied at 1 a piece until Abraham Antar has a free kick for metea and he puts just the right touch on it to find twine. After trailing most of the game, Metea takes the conference W over Neuqua Valley, 2-1.
